Xavi: Inter Are Strong But Barcelona Are Stronger

Barcelona midfielder Xavi cannot wait to tussle against Inter in their Champions League showdown on Wednesday, but he believes his team is better equipped for the win.

The two giants lock horns at the San Siro in Matchday 1 of the group phase, and Xavi thinks that it will be a cracking fixture.

"The difference between Inter and Barcelona is that we believe in the squad. Yes, we save money, and it means the players have more motivation," Xavi told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"However, they have an awesome squad coached by Jose Mourinho. I learned much from him when I was a Barcelona youth."

Xavi tried compared Samuel Eto'o and Zlatan Ibrahimovic following their high profile summer swap, but found it hard to see similarities.

"Eto'o made history with Barcelona, but you cannot really compare him to Ibrahimovic. The Sweden striker is still adapting. I also spoke to Samuel to tell him how happy I was with the Champions League draw," concluded the midfielder.
