Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed an announcement will soon be made over a new contract for Lionel Messi.
"The new agreement for Messi has been expected for some time. Soon there will be an official statement," said Laporta.
Barca are hoping to extend Messi's deal to 2016 with his buyout clause also increased to €250 million.
